Since my time as an MLPer it’s been my dream to serve as the Executive Director and give back to the program that gave me everything!

I believe that MLP is a great chance for students to start their involvement at UF. It offers a community/family that supports and looks out for each other. I applied for MLP directorship because I truly believe MLP is an outstanding program with so many benefits, and I wanted to be a part of that.

MLP was the first place I could really get in touch with my Hispanic heritage at UF. The rest of my family lives in Miami while I live in Orlando, so I’ve haven’t been able to keep in touch with my roots as much as I wanted to. MLP was the launchpad I needed to get involved in HSA and to make friends with a similar background! I applied for directorship so that I could potentially help someone else find their otra familia the way I did and inspire people to want to pass the love along.
Major: Public Health
Fun Fact: I am a vegetarian

While I have never been in MLP, I have come to learn so much about it and how it has helped so many new gators on campus. The program and the directors are passionate about helping Latino Gators excel through their time at the University of Florida by providing community and leadership building. I wish I would have joined MLP while I began my journey as a Gator and I think becoming a director will allow me to get my own experience of the greatness MLP has to offer.

Major: Nutritional Science
Fun Fact: I was stuck on an island for 2 days without communication or a place to stay.

I love MLP because it is definitely my home away from home. It's were I met my closest friends and the most amazing people that today I call familia. Also because thanks to this program I was able to develop my leadership and professional skills. I decided to apply for MLP directorship because I really want other students to enjoy this experience as much as I did; and finally, because I wanted to give back to the program that has given me so much.

Major: Microbiology and Cell Science
Fun Fact: I'm a cycle instructor for RecSports and I make amazing cheesecake

MLP was the first thing that really opened up my doors at UF; it gave me an opportunity to put myself out there and meet amazing people that I've grown close to. Not only did it teach me a lot of practical skills like networking and managing credit (ew), but it surrounded me with amazing people that I'm proud to call my familia. Thanks to MLP, I was able to discover my best self and make my freshman year unforgettable, so by being a committee director, I hope to have that same profound impact in the lives of the upcoming MLPers..

I think I first fell in love with MLP when I realized that I was surrounded by a group of amazing people who weren't afraid to be loud Hispanic af. I finally knew that Gainesville wasn't so different from Miami because I had found mi gente, mi familia. I finally knew I was here to stay. I applied to become an MLP director because I want to be a vigilante, a vigilante for those who are trying real hard to make UF a home but cant seem to do it. I want to help those who feel like they have to transfer out because they are far from home. The tea is that you start feeling this is your home when you leave Gainesville.
